Dear International Exchange Student,
In the middle of the Great Hungarian Plain, our lively and student-friendly Faculty offers a wide range
of first cycle programmes. First cycle higher education covers a study period of three to four years and
leads to a Bachelor degree. Since 2009 the Faculty of Economics also offers two Masters degrees in
Accounting and Management on a part-time basis. As the courses prepare students for specific
professions, they are practice-oriented and most include periods of practical training.
The Faculty of Economics in Békéscsaba is part of Szent István University, which has nine faculties
located in several towns across a large area covering 200 kms to the south-east of Budapest
(Gödöllő, Jászberény, Szarvas, Békéscsaba and Gyula).
